Tsurvival Grips

December 2020

Prompted by Tsunamis and the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004, these minimal grips utilize local materials and hydroreactive finishing to create a method for better grabbing of surfaces wheen a Tsunami occurs. Located on building facades and trees and featuring a finish that changes to bright red when in contact with water, these grips provide an easy to grab initial surface then acts as a ladder to allow individuals to scale these surfaces and get out of the water.
